SERDA, a Scam or Asset?
What more can be said about a bad job gone bad. First off I want people to know that I’m a handicapped person with spinal cord damage, and also on hospice with stage D heart failure. I don’t need this crap happening in my life at this time. We let SEALAG (Southeastern Association of Local Governments), which is now called SERDA (Southeastern Regional Development Agency) rebuild our roof and install eves which took over two year to complete the job, which should of took no more than three months max. The “aka” contractors used to do the work on our home were no more than has-beens from the different Helper City bars showing up whenever they felt like it, working for maybe an hour or two then leaving. Happy hour was the name of the game here. Finally after fall set in, I had to set up a video camera to document the contentious and overly lax attitude of the workers. All used old barn wood, and 2x4’s from old pallets was used for the eves, while being charged for new wood. They quit for the winter leaving my roof open and exposed to the elements all winter long till spring. Enough was enough; I fired them all, told them not to come back, and told the general contractor to get this job done now. Another year goes by, installs the wrong windows in the basement, screws up the window wells, and left a big mess in my yard. Don’t let these people revamp any part of your house, they will F*** it all up, and it will not get fixed. My heat bill had doubled, and when I tried talking to them about this, all we get is the silence treatment. The Carbon County building inspector Todd Thorne was a complete a*****e wouldn't talk to us, said that he didn't have to. Drove out a 8:30 AM sign a quick statement for a contractor saying the job was done then hurried up and left before I could get my shoes on and get outside to talk to him. He never even entered my yard to look at one thing done. Carbon County has nothing but crooks, frauds, clowns, and shysters working for them. Human Vacuum cleaners sucking up a pay check.
